What is The Gauntlet?

The Gauntlet is the UK’s Functional Fitness Race for both solo and pairs.

4km of running, up to 6km of ergs, and five other workout stations as well.

The Gauntlet Workout Structure for Solo:

  1. 1km run
  2. 16 hurdles (30kg/20kg)
  3. 4 x 12.5m sled push (175kg/125kg)
  4. 4 x 12.5m sled pull (125kg/90kg)
  5. 1km run
  6. Bike (3km/2.5km)
  7. 120m walking lunges (20kg/10kg)
  8. Ski erg (1.5km/1.25km)
  9. 1km run
  10. 80m burpee broad jumps
  11. Row (1.5km/1.25km)
  12. 1km run

For doubles, there is not only extra distance involved on the ergs, but the workouts are merged in with the erg ones

The Gauntlet Workout Structure for Pairs:

  1. 1km run
  2. 24 hurdles (30kg/20kg)
  3. 4 x 12.5m sled push (175kg/125kg)
  4. 4 x 12.5m sled pull (125kg/90kg)
  5. 1km run
  6. Bike (4km/3km) + 80m walking lunges each (20kg/10kg)
  7. Ski erg (2km/1.75km) + Farmers hold (2 x 24kg/16kg)
  8. 1km run
  9. Row (2.5km/2km) + 60m burpee broad jumps each
  10. 1km run
