What is Suvive the 8?

Survive the 8 By Athena is a collective of functional fitness races, created from our founding team’s desire to make a meaningful difference to people’s mental wellbeing through sport.

Survive the 8 is similar to a full Hyrox with 8 runs and 8 stations, alongside the sprint version on offer that is half of the distance of the full version.

The Survive the 8 Workout Stations is as follows. Before each station is 1k run (full version) or 500m run (sprint version)

  1. SkiErg - 1,000m (Sprint: 500m)
  2. Sled Push - 50m (Sprint: 25m) (155kg for men/135kg for women)
  3. Sled Pull - 50m (Sprint: 25m) (105kg for men/90kg for women)
  4. Burpee Broad Jumps - 80m (Sprint: 40m)
  5. Rowing - 1,000m (Sprint: 500m)
  6. Farmers Carry - 200m (Sprint: 100m) (2 x 24kg for men/2 x 16kg for women)
  7. Lunges - 100m (Sprint: 50m) (20kg for men/10kg for women)
  8. Wall Ball Throws - 100 reps (Sprint: 50 reps) (6kg for men/4kg for women)
